The Beautification Ministry
The mission of the Beautification Ministry is to honor God’s house of worship in both the spiritual and aesthetic realm by beautifying the interior of the church in a manner that is pleasing in the sight of God and appealing to the heart, soul, and eye of man. Furthermore, we endeavor to preserve and maintain the antique motif consistent with Court Street’s historical significance as the oldest Black church in the city of Lynchburg, designated as a Virginia Landmark in the National Register of Historic Places, June 8, 1982.
Strategies to achieve the mission:
- To secure accent pieces of furniture as needed to enhance the décor of the church.
- To select, secure, arrange, and dispose of floral arrangements.
- To be observant to the beautification needs of the interior of the church.
- To advise the Trustee Ministry of interior needs
